Package: sawfish
Version: 1:1.5.3-2
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

with the current window matching options (mostly WM_CLASS and
WM_NAME), it is very hard to distinguish between an application's main
window and its dialog boxes. For example, I'd like Iceweasel or Evince
to have a large window by default, but I don't want that for their
dialogs.

Usually these programs set _NET_WM_WINDOW_TYPE to ..._NORMAL or
..._DIALOG, but there are no matchers in sawfish to access that
information, even though it is available internally to sawfish
already (wm/state/wm-spec.jl).
