--- Begin Message ---Package: udev Version: 0.097-1 Hello, when I upgrade udev while running a 2.4 kernel, the postinst script always starts an `udevd --daemon' process. I'm not sure, if this is intentional, since the init-script for example doesn't start such a process while booting up 2.4. I think this is because of the restart_udevd call in postinst:205, the only call of this function which is not jailed by a supported_kernel call before. regards Mario -- As a rule, the more bizarre a thing is, the less mysterious it proves to be. -- Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle
