Package: sqwebmail
Version: 0.68.2-1
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,
The sqwebmail contains a remarkably useful utility: /usr/bin/mimegpg,
which can be used with any email client. I'd like to be able to install
the utility without installing the whole courier set of packages.

It would be great if this utility could be packages separetly and
sqwebmail could depend on it.

Many thanks,
jamie

I have recently become the maintainer of the sqwebmail package. I am
generally not in favor of packaging a single binary in a separate package.
However, I do understand that it is not possible to coinstall courier with
another MTA. Can you please explain how you would use mimegpg with a
different MTA if it were packaged separately?

This ticket can be closed - I think I opened it because I was experimenting with a new text-based email reader. But I have since moved to an email reader that natively supports OpenPGP so I no longer have a need for a command line tool.

Thanks for the follow up!
