Subject: libc5: getservbyname problem with aliases ?
Package: libc5
Version: 5.4.33-6
trying to install poppassd by hand, i found that it was running on port 3 !!!!!
i looked to /etc/services and found that 3com-mux got the same poppassd port
(106)
and poppassd is defined as an alias of 3com-mux in the rightmost part.
inetd got port 3 so i think it's a bug in getservbyname
removing 3com-mux entry and puttin poppassd instead works fine.
hope this help !

This is end-of-life for libc5. Libc5 is in sarge, but will not be in the next
release
of Debian. Accordingly, I am closing all the bugs against libc5.
