Hi,
some of the tests (e.g. "examples_convert_xml_pbf") dump the generated
binary data to the console. That might be annoying if ASCII 7 BEL is
generated, and could also confuse terminal emulators.
Minor since the bug is both cosmetic and ancient.

Your issue has been forwarded upstream as it's not something the package
maintainer is going to fix.
Upstream is also unlikely to address the issue, so your best bet is to provide
a patch upstream.
