Package: FontForge
Version: 1:20190801~dfsg-2 and others

I installed the last version available for Sid.
When I start a process as glyph simplification,
adding extremum an so on, for every glyphs FontForge
"recomposes" the screen every time as if browsed from top to bottom
and consequently takes a very long time to perform glyph operations.
I realize that my description is obscure, so I am attaching
the screen shot. With the correct functioning, the screen is fixed,
only the bar proceeds and consequently the process is very fast
