Package: proftpd
Version: 1.2.10-15sarge1.0.1

When a ftp user stores too much files in his root directory, the size of
the directory become greater than 4096 (for example 32768). The next
connect looks like this:

220 ProFTPD 1.2.10 Server (xxx FTPD) [x.x.x.x]
Name (ftp.a.b:yyy):
331 Password required for yyy.
Password: zzz
230 User yyy logged in.
Remote system type is UNIX.
Using binary mode to transfer files.
ftp> ls
200 PORT command successful
150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for file list
421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection

The file list is not transferred and the user gets disconnected (can be
reproduced with different ftp clients).

I am using Debian GNU/Linux 3.1, debian-kernel 2.4.27 with skas patch and
libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22.

Possibly fixed in other previous versions, too. My own home is >4K and I
have no problems at all. If you find again the problem, please feel free
to re-open.
