Package: erlang-mode
Version: 1:14.a-dfsg-3squeeze1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

After the package`erlang-mode' was updated to version 15 or 16, Emacs failed to
run

(require 'erlang-start)

and reported error saying '"Cannot open load file " "erlang-start"'.

I compare these versions. In version 14, after installation, those
elisp source files with suffix .el would be compiled and the binary-compiled
files with suffix .elc would be put into directory
'/usr/share/emacs24/site-lisp/erlang'.

But in version 15 or 16, no .elc files would be compiled or put into this
directory.
So when Emacs start and load 'site-start.d/50erlang-mode.el'(which will add
'/usr/share/emacs24/site-lisp/erlang' to load-path), it could not locate
'erlang-start' and that causes a error.

Hi!

I still cannot reproduce this bug with Erlang and Emacs from the
current stable, testing and unstable branches. Therefore, I'm closing
this bugreport.

Cheers!
