Package: lxc-templates
Version: 3.0.4.97.ga9feb21-1
Severity: normal
Currently, lxc-templates package depends on busybox-static. However,
currently, this means that installing lxc-templates on a system will
install busybox-static package, which will replace regular busybox
on the system, and will make busybox-static into initramfs. But the
problem is that busybox-static has never been suited for initramfs
really, - its purpose was rescue, and in initramfs it brings yet
another libc copy, which is definitely wrong too.
We're currently making busybox and busybox-static packages to be
co-installable, by reaming busybox binary in busybox-static
package to busybox-static -- see #1147074 for more info. This
means that the rename will break lxc-templates.
Please consider switching to regular build of busybox package,
instead of dependning on busybox-static.
If this is too much of a change (but I strongly suggest doing
that still), let's coordinate upload of renamed busybox-static
with upload of lxc-templates package, so it will use the new
name of busybox binary.
