Package: kwlan
Version: 0.4.8-1
Severity: important

after launching $ kwlan as an ordinary user no icons show up in the tray;
a quick look with ps aux | grep kwlan shows an active process but even
waiting for a long time nothing happens.

The same happens:
- with or without wpasupplicant running;
- with or without a stanza for the wireless interface in
  /etc/network/interfaces.

if I run kwlan as root everything works as expected.

Thanks

Mau

Description:
 kwlan - wpasupplicant frontend for KDE
Closes: 378284
Changes:
 kwlan (0.5.3-1) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * New upstream release (Closes: #378284)
   * Added missing dependencies: ppp, psmisc
   * Conflicts against dhcdbd: if dhcdbd is installed, it always tries to get a
     dhcp address regardless whether kwlan configures the interface using a
     static ip address or not.
