Package: tilix
Version: 1.9.6-7
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
     libsimdutf35 update

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
rolling back to verison 9.1.2-1 fixes the problem

When trying to launch tilix you get an error libsimdutf.so.35: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory.
I believe the issue here is the newer package installs libsimdutf.so.37

This was a bug in libsimdutf35 that affected tilix, not a bug in tilix, so I'm closing the tilix bug report.

A rebuild of libvte-2.91-0 is required.

No, rebuilding vte would have hidden the symptom, but then broken it again when the ABI break in libsimdutf was reverted. When a coordinated libsimdutf35 -> libsimdutf37 transition happens, *then* vte will be rebuilt as part of that.
