Package: cryptsetup
Version: 2:1.0.3-3
My passphrase for / includes characters that are on different positions in the
us and de keyboard layouts. What I did before was "loadkeys us" before setting
up the key (so that the passphrase "Härdeman" would actually become
"H'rdeman", as the key labeled "ä" would generate a "'" in us). With the new
fix for #376393 I could no longer use this passphrase (because entering
"Härdeman" would no longer result in the correct "H'rdeman").
It is not usually catastrophic, because most keys that can be generated by a
us keyboard are somehow possible to get on an international keyboard, but it's
quite a bother to find them.
It would have been easier if this were documented outside the changelog,
e.g. in NEWS.Debian.
TIA,
--
Robbe
