Package: xprt-xprintorg
Version: 0.0.9.final-3
Severity: normal

I'm getting only a blank page when I use "xphelloworld".

Actually printing something to the page would inspire a little more
confidence.

Under X11R7 both xphelloworld and xpsimplehelloworld seem to be printing
"hello world from X11 print system" (I had to use the -print argument to
get it sent to the printer).

The header of the output file contains "FreeType version 2.2.1", where
Andrew's sample had "FreeType version 0.0.0", but otherwise the
difference is minimal.

Now for both my recent output and Andrew's sample, when I view with gv
the page comes up blank. This is because gv display the centre (or is it
the end?) of the page, which is empty. The text is located at the top
of the page, and I have to scroll up in gv to see it, but it's there in
both cases (including yours, Andrew).

If the text is not appearing on paper, I might conjecture it's because
the test page doesn't use a page geometry which works well with your
printer. Maybe it assumes A4 paper, while your printer uses Letter, or
something along those lines. It's only a simple test program. If this is
the case then the -printargs argument might help.

Anyway, I'll assume the bug is fixed (or was never a bug in the first
place, just misplaced text) and close the bug, but let me know if it in
fact is still not working for you.

Drew
