Package: kudzu
Version: 1.1.36-2
Severity: normal

I put in a PCI network card and ran 'kudzu'. 'kudzu' identified the
card and claimed to be setting it up, but my xterm prompt had this
error message:

        sh: /usr/sbin/netconfig: not found

...while the main 'kudzu' interface didn't mention the error.

For the record, a run of 'cat /proc/pci' gives the stats for the card
in question as:

  Bus 0, device 10, function 0:
Ethernet controller: 3Com Corporation 3cSOHO100-TX Hurricane (rev 48).
      IRQ 9.
      Master Capable. Latency=64. Min Gnt=10.Max Lat=10.
      I/O at 0xe400 [0xe47f].
      Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xe7000000 [0xe700007f].

Hope this helps...

Dear bug reporter,;)

kudzu is not buildable anymore and is already removed from etch/testing.

Nobody seems to care about the package. I asked the pkg-knoppix people on alioth
but it doesn't seems to be an active project.
The main reason for packaging the kudzu hardware detection was to have it
packaged
for knoppix. But they are still using their own kudzu build.:(

Aside from that... what are you using kudzu for? You shouldn't. (it basically
is sticking around in RH/Fedora until the installer can be ported away
from it.)

Thats why kudzu will be removed from Debian.
I'm closing all kudzu bugs.

Thanks from the kudzu maintainer.
