Package: openafs-modules-source
Version: 1.4.2-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
Hi there,
I have upgraded my Debian Sid and rebuilt the openafs kernel module against
my kernel 2.6.18 (stock Debian kernel). I have used m-a:
# m-a a-i openafs
it worked alright just like always. The module loads without errors and the
service can be restarted without failure.
Although it is not possible to obtain a token from my cell with the
following error:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ klog -principal XXXXXXXX -cell XXX.XX
Password:
Unable to authenticate to AFS because a pioctl failed.
The password is obviously correct.
I have found this page:
http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/course/15-491/readings.html
where it is said:
Unable to authenticate to AFS because a pioctl failed.
The openafs driver hasn't loaded properly. The TA or instructor may need to
re-install the driver because a Kubuntu security update has replaced the
kernel with a newer one.
I have checked dmesg and /var/log/messages for errors, but nothing:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dmesg | grep afs
openafs: module license 'http://www.openafs.org/dl/license10.html' taints
kernel.
Please suggest some other place to look for possible failures. If you think
this might be related to the setup of the cell I am trying to connect to,
let me know and I'll ask my sysadmins.
Thanks for any help!
