Hello,
It would be nice if k3b could search for cdrskin as an external
program [1] for managing CD-Rs and CD-RWs. Cdrskin provides
cdrecord-compatible options as well as its own non-cdrecord
compatible ones. You can use cdrskin as non-root user.
Currently it provides the following features:
- TAO (Track at Once) mode
- SAO (Session at Once) mode
- Multi session support
- Blanking discs
- Audio support
- Make use of burnfree and speed options
Known deficiencies:
- No DVD support yet, but this it is less appealing to emulate
cdrecord in respect to DVD because there is already a program
which does it clearly better (growisofs from Andy Polyakov's
dvd+rw-tools -- which is already packaged for Debian).
