CUPS has own pdftops and old cupsys package included this. This pdftops is derrived from pdftops in Xpdf (almost same), and I had been affected many security hole problem by it :-) So, I think there isn't so big size expansion by depending xpdf-utils. > - Would it be an idea to use the gs-esp package to handle pdf?
