It seems kinder to warn them BEFORE the panel gets garbled. Proposed (prior to resizing) text: [titlebar: Grandr -- Two 'Gnome Panel' Bug Warnings ] Caution: when panels are crowded with buttons and applets, shrinking or expanding the screen size can garble the panel. Before: |A B C D E { app1, app2, ... }(switcher)(clock)| After: | A B C D E{a1,a2..} (switcher)(clock)| Caution: the 'grandr' applet button should be on the far LEFT of the panel. If it's not, hit 'Cancel' now and move the button left. (At lower resolutions a button on the right won't fit on the panel, stranding you the user in a lower resolution.) For more details on these no good bugs see: <URLs of any relevant bugs> Still want to resize? { OK } { Cancel } Pixmaps for the 'Before' and 'After' examples would be even better. > > For 'gnome-panel' I'm thinking the best solution would be... > Please fill a separate bug for this against the gnome packages (gnome-panel i > think, make sure it is the exact name though). Here ya go: #289980: gnome-panel: Panel hides and loses information after resizing screen with 'xrandr' http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=289980 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
