Package: apt-proxy
Version: 1.9.24
Followup-For: Bug #288905

I agree about this patch solving many hung connection problems. I was
having a hard time getting newvserver to pull down packages through an
apt-proxy (newvserver calls debbootstrap), and as soon as I applied
this patch everything went really much faster and the hangs went away.
