Package: aptitude
Version: 0.2.15.8-1
Severity: normal

After an aptitude was aborted due some mishap, I couldn't properly
restart aptitude. I got the error message:

W: Warning: Could not lock cache file. Opening in read-only mode

I don't know how to unlock the cache file. It would be useful if
the message included some information on how to fix the problem.

I grepped apt's (and dpkg's) docs for "lock" with no result.

There are no dpkg or aptitude-related programs or zombie processes
running on the system.
