Hello, I have a behavior a bit different. Maybe because the patch mentionned in http://bugs.xmms.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1611 is now applied upstream.
With ALSA output, if I clic on the pause button the sound is paused. OK. The log message is "Message: alsa_pause" If I now clic on play the sound restart for a fraction of a second then stop. The log message is "Message: alsa_pause" If I clic on play again the sound start from the beginning as reported by the original bug submitter. The log message is: Message: Closing device Message: Device closed Message: Opening device Message: alsa_setup Message: Opening device: default Card -1, Device 0, Subdevice 0 start_mode: DATA xrun_mode: STOP tstamp_mode: NONE period_step: 1 sleep_min: 0 avail_min: 940 xfer_align: 940 silence_threshold: 0 silence_size: 0 boundary: 986447872 Plug PCM: Rate conversion PCM (48000, sformat=S16_LE) Its setup is: stream : PLAYBACK access : MMAP_INTERLEAVED format : S16_LE subformat : STD channels : 2 rate : 44100 exact rate : 44100 (44100/1) msbits : 16 buffer_size : 15052 period_size : 940 period_time : 21333 tick_time : 0 tstamp_mode : NONE period_step : 1 sleep_min : 0 avail_min : 940 xfer_align : 940 start_threshold : 14112 stop_threshold : 15052 silence_threshold: 0 silence_size : 0 boundary : 986447872 Slave: Direct Stream Mixing PCM The pause/play buttons works correctly when the output is OSS.
