Package: pidentd Version: 3.0.18-1 Severity: normal Looking in the syslog i've found identd trying to write his identd.pid file in /etc and failing. In the identd.conf seems the default path is indeed /etc.
I've simply added a line to write the pid file in /var/run/identd server:pid-file = "/var/run/identd/identd.pid" Andrea -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.10-1-k7 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages pidentd depends on: ii adduser 3.59 Add and remove users and groups ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libssl0.9.7 0.9.7e-3 SSL shared libraries ii netbase 4.19 Basic TCP/IP networking system ii passwd 1:4.0.3-30.8 Change and administer password and -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
