Hi Franz

I am still interested. I have built a 0.86c .deb and upgraded a couple
of systems, but I need to test it a little bit more. I also need to
figure out how I am going to build cactid on the other platforms.

I've got a copy of the Debian Reference here on my desk and I have been
reading up on maintainer requirements and such (probably overboard for
what is really required).

The maintainer is busy and I don't think he has time to care for this
package any longer. I shot him an eMail some time ago and he seemed
like a good guy, just busy.

I've been busy too -- girl friend's car got stolen, personal projects,
helping a friend move out of state, etc etc.

I will get back to this as soon as I can. If someone else wants to take
the package, that's fine. This is a great piece of software and it
needs to be supported.

I am interested in taking over the Debian Cacti package from it's
current maintainer and may peruse that here in the next week (after this
Holiday stuff). It seems as though he doesn't have time any
longer for this package. It's been awhile since it's been updated.

If any one else is more qualified or interested, I would enjoy hearing
about it. This is a very useful package and it needs to be maintained.

Looks like the cacti maintainer is dead....

Cactid version 0.8.6d has been released. This is a very minor release
that fixes several compilation bugs that cropped up in the 0.8.6c
release. I do not recommend upgrading if your current version of Cactid
is functional.
