Whenever I attach my digital camera to the USB port, it takes 60 seconds until it appears in nautilus. (The relevant lines from my syslog follow). I don't have any entries in /etc/fstab for the device. I'm not sure whether this is a problem with hald or with hotplug; I'm reporting it here because hald is the process which complains about the timeout. I'm using the Debian stock kernel-image-2.6.10-1-k7; my USB controller is reported as follows by lspci: USB Controller: VIA Technologies, Inc.
