Thanks a lot for the installation report! The situation is not as bad as it looks. During the initial boot of the installation media the disks are not enumerated, this is done later in the installation process. Indeed, immediately after the last messages you see the init process should start (from initrd). So there is hope that kernel pretty much works, but everything breaks once it tries to start userspace processes (due to reasons discussed on debian-sparc [0]). I will try to build an initrd, which contains libraries compiled without the -mv8 optimization and it would be interesting to see whether this will get the booting process any further. Can your machine netboot?
