Since I don't see this here I can't test it.  Can you please try
using regular qemu-kvm 1.0 and 1.0.1 and see if you can reproduce
the issue?  (Note: debian -8 is based on 1.0, while -9 is on 1.0.1).

Again, I don't see any change which can lead to this behavour.
