I installed from your package list what was available in current security-updated squeeze + backports.debian.org, and couldn't reproduce the issue (just starting up pstoedit w/o parameters). In your packagelist, I can see that there are some packages that are not available in squeeze. Please try to reproduce the problem in a clean Debian squeeze system (e.g. chroot into a debootstrap-created squeeze) and compare the differences. Thanks in advance!
