I had the same problem as mentioned above (wheezy) and only : duckduckgo and debsearch available. After : pablo@debian:~$ cd /usr/lib/iceweasel/distribution/searchplugins/locale/ pablo@debian:/usr/lib/iceweasel/distribution/searchplugins/locale$ ls en-GB en-US pl pablo@debian:/usr/lib/iceweasel/distribution/searchplugins/locale$ sudo ln -s pl ./pl-PL pablo@debian:/usr/lib/iceweasel/distribution/searchplugins/locale$ ls /usr/lib/iceweasel/distribution/searchplugins/locale/ en-GB en-US pl pl-PL
