Package: cups-filters Version: 1.0.7-1 Followup-For: Bug #660348 Dear Maintainer,
I have just updated my Sid system and am still having problems with the recommended foomatic filter from foomatic-db-compressed-ppds, Brother HL-5240 Foomatic/Postscript. After sending a print test page job the CUPS web page shows, "processing since Thu 29 Mar 2012 05:45:46 PM CDT "Spooling job, 10% complete." ". and lpq outputs: $ lpq Brother-HL-5240 is ready and printing Rank Owner Job File(s) Total Size active (null) 43 untitled 1024 bytes Meanwhile the printer is left with its status light flashing and no sheet output at all. I have restarted the computer and printer with the same result. Reverting back to the Generic PostScript Level 1 Printer Foomatic/Postscript1 driver and it works, although it seems quite slow. If there is any advice for me to help you troubleshoot this issue, please pass it along. - Nate >> -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages cups-filters depends on: ii fonts-liberation 1.07.2-2 ii ghostscript 9.05~dfsg-4 ii libc6 2.13-27 ii libcups2 1.5.2-8 ii libcupsfilters1 1.0.7-1 ii libcupsimage2 1.5.2-8 ii libfontconfig1 2.8.0-3.1 ii libgcc1 1:4.7.0-1 ii libijs-0.35 0.35-8 ii liblcms2-2 2.2+git20110628-2.1 ii libpoppler13 0.16.7-3 ii libstdc++6 4.7.0-1 ii ttf-dejavu 2.33-2 ii ttf-freefont 20100919-1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.6.dfsg-2 Versions of packages cups-filters recommends: ii colord 0.1.18-1 ii foomatic-filters 4.0.15-1 ii ghostscript-cups 9.05~dfsg-4 Versions of packages cups-filters suggests: ii foomatic-db-compressed-ppds [foomatic-db] 20120322-1 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
