Package: kdenetwork Version: 4:4.7.4-2 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate
What led up to the situation? Installation configured network settings okay, but once in the root environment kde network does not respond to interface (panel) settings for activating wireless (wlan0). What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? settings in /etc/network.interfaces verfied and set correctly. Also all wireless tools, wicd, etc have been installed appropriately. Group netdev has user added to it What was the outcome of this action? Still kdenetwork does not respond to "activate wireless" nor the connections settings setup within. I repeated above steps, verified, rebooted and tried about 4 different times. Also, Squeeze with the same settings in KDE works like it should What outcome did you expect instead? I had expected KDE Network to accept congfigurations but did not. Instead, I had to use ifconfig command to get wireless (wlan0) working. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing-proposed-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages kdenetwork depends on: ii kget 4:4.7.4-2+b1 ii kopete 4:4.7.4-2+b1 ii krdc 4:4.7.4-2+b1 ii krfb 4:4.7.4-2+b1 Versions of packages kdenetwork recommends: ii kdenetwork-filesharing 4:4.7.4-2+b1 ii kppp 4:4.7.4-2+b1 kdenetwork suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
