Package: emacs23 Version: 23.4+1-2 Followup-For: Bug #666714
I also encountered this. Two more things: 1. Downgrading all dependencies to testing resolves the issue (surprise). Upgrading libglib alone from 2.30 to 2.32 brings it back. So it's somewhere there. 2. Also, staring emacs in text mode makes it freeze with 100% cpu. While I did not try to check if it is again glib 2.32 which is the cause, I have a guess, that the new glib is somehow unhappy if there is no X connection.
