Libextractor, and therefore the packages which are depending on it, needs as soon as possible a libglib-2.0_pic.a to link against to enter Sarge.

I don't understand why it cannot link directly to the shared version. Static linking against libraries for Debian packages should be avoided like hell, be it only for security updates.
