This is not entirely true, you can always use a hook to setup the partitions "manually" with a small shell script (see the guide on more for this and have a look at http://www.layer-acht.org/fai/fai-on-powerpc/ there you'll find a partition.POWERPC hook) > Without introduction of the right partitioning method fai > should be removed from debian stable's alpha-tree FAI is an architecture "all" package, it's not existant as a alpha package :) You're right though, that setup_harddisk is a bad hack.
