Sorry, this was my fault. I have subsequently discovered that I had an outdated zlib installation v1.2.5 in /usr/local (used for an application compiled and installed in /usr/local), and it was the presence of this which was causing dosemu to crash with the bus error. Removal of that library from /usr/local cured the problem and therefore this bug should be closed.
