Some time after encountering the problem I switched to pm-utils (which
worked fine) and didn't try to use uswsusp anymore. Some time ago I
changed hardware and don't use i386 anymore (amd64 is used now). I see
uswsusp version 1.0+20110509-2 available for installation right now. Is
there a point to update status with this setup (totally different
hardware, architecture, uswsusp version)?
