What about sending the patch to the right place? ie: bugs.freedesktop.org BTW you should change the .ps.pdf of your patch by .pdf.gz > Whoa, copy and paste + typing "gzip" or ".gz" a few times! That would be like blaming a Debian maintainer to not fix fedora packages... > The reason why I'm so annoyed is that apparently noone at Gnome/envice > bothered that 5 people independently filed a bug for that; while > They apparently are just happy by tagging another bug "NOTGNOME". They made the comments quite clear. The correct way to work is to define a mimetype for the format, ie: change the freedesktop shared-mime-info file. Then open a bug on evince to list this mimetype. Maybe you don't get that freedesktop != GNOME? Sure they could do the submitter job and open a bug on fd.o but they are quite busy and the bug comments was clear. Note that I quite agree with them, compressing the .pdf files is Debian specific, not really useful and probably a dh_compress bug which should ignore them. Cheers, Sebastien Bacher
