I disagree: The code refuse to run without the common files, but at
least the wiki pages documenting the use of MoinMoin are readable
(although rather difficult to locate with the new storage scheme in
1.3.x) are usable without the code.

The package "moin" has never been included in an official release of the
Debian distribution. So no attempts has been made to provide a smooth
upgrade path.

MoinMoin is primarily a Python library. So the package to install if you
want MoinMoin on Debian is python-moinmoin, not moinmoin-common.

I may at some point package convenience packages like "moin-cgi",
"moin-fastcgi" that takes care of setting up the use of the
MoinMoinlibrary with different web environments, and perhaps even a
"moin" package depending on one of those.

I dare close this bug as a misunderstanding. Please reopen and explain
if you disagree (if you insist then even if you cannot convince me I
will not close it again, but tag it as wontfix and leave it open).
