It looks like your system is messed up. Did you try to purge some packages but then stop the operation part way through? > [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dpkg --list libkcal2a ... > pi libkcal2a 3.3.2-1 KDE calendaring library > [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dpkg --status libkcal2a > Package: libkcal2a > Status: purge ok installed These indicate that dpkg thinks you want this package purged, but that it is currently installed. Are you sure all of its dependencies are installed correctly? I suggest trying: apt-get install libkcal2 And then trying again.
