Package: deluge Severity: normal Version: 1.3.4-1 Tags: patch (The network at the conference I'm at doesn't seem to get along with my MTA. I tried to file this with reportbug, but it hasn't seemed to get through. Let's try doing it by hand....)
Upstream pushed a version to their PPA with the new init script. After updating to the next version, they started getting user errors reported: Setting up deluged (1.3.5-0~lucid~ppa1) ... dpkg-statoverrides: An override for '/var/log/deluged' already exists, aborting. dpkg: error processing deluged (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2 Errors were encountered while processing: deluged E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) We need to check for the existing dpkg-statoverride before trying to add it or we'll get errors on upgrade. This hasn't popped up in Debian yet as there has only been the initial upload with the init script, but it will effect the next upload. Patch attached.
