tags 563844 wontfix ...and I should indeed close it as the only problem is that smbd process can grow very large as described in #558453 (maybe no more, by the way), take a while to be stopped and then bring users in the described situation.
As there is nothing we can change in samba to handle this, I even think we should close this bug report...:-). Will probably do it next year unless the bug gets some more comments... --
