Hello Yann, (Copying this e-mail to all of the related bug reports)

I uploaded versions to unstable for all for you to test: http://packages.qa.debian.org/s/sdl-mixer1.2.html http://packages.qa.debian.org/s/sdl-image1.2.html (Most of you will probably know what I'm going to say below, please don't be offented, it's just a reminder ;-) ). Other than checking that things compile fine with the new packages, please make sure that you enable support as appropriate according to the documentantion. Relying *only* in "smoke tests", like "if it compiles with the new packages everything is good", is often not enough. In many software packages, they will happily build when some libraries are missing -- they will just disable support for that particular image/sound/whatever format (or other kind of libraries, but I guess than in this case is mostly about media formats). But then things will fail at runtime when they try to load media files, or when users add their media formats (e.g. an avatar portrait), or in new upstream versions or extradatasets containing formats not present before, etc. So please, check the README/INSTALL files provided with your packages and make sure that you enable support for all the available formats and options, when possible.
