I found an issue with the 2011.12-3 (also with 2011.12-2) uboot build for guruplug. Basically it won't recognize a USB hard disk.
I have found that if there is a usb flash drive in usb socket 0 and a disk in socket 1 it will see both. I can tell the usb hard disk is actually spinning up and reacts to 'usb reset'. I have a feeling this is a timing issue and maybe u-boot is not waiting long enough for the disk to respond, however when it is talking to a flash drive first the required time just happens. I have tried placing the flash disk in the second socket but then it only sees the flash drive. I have tried 2 different external hard drives. Hobbyhack
