Package: chromium
Version: 20.0.1132.21~r139451-1
Severity: serious
Justification: Policy 2.1

This package builds against a embedded binary (compiled) ld.gold linker. Not
only does this break builds
against architectures that are not i386 or amd64, but this is, from my
understandings, a severe violation of
debian policy. Version 18 of this package successfully builds against Debian's
ld.bfd, making this also a
regression.

Also, with this version of the package, the only version available in the
archive is the uploaders .deb
no other architectures have been successfully built. Which is not a good sign.

While I would love to see chromium be part of Debian, it needs to play nice
(which is admittedly hard for
this package).

This version of the package should be immediately removed from the archives
until it can link against
the Debian-packaged linkers (either ld.bfd or ld.gold).

I noticed this while trying to get this package to build on armel. (I have
gotten the version 18 package
to build on armel, however the build package now has unaligned memory access
problems which are troublesome)
