dpkg: error processing ifupdown (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Removing /etc/network/run.dpkg-old solves the problem.It could be a serious bug but as the previous package was an alpha one, maybe it's not necessary. Do as you see fit.
