Reading the Chromium bug[0] about this problem I found another patch[1] that solves the same problem in a different way.
I am not qualified to say which of the two patches is the saner solution to the problem, but the second one has the merit of not changing the user interface. Just figured I should let you know about it. I have tried it and it works with pwsafe 0.2.0 in Debian.
