Package: avahi-daemon Version: 0.6.31-1 Severity: wishlist I don't need avahi daemon, it slows down my boot and shutdown (it needs about 5 seconds for each interface), and it keeps being installed by dependencies.
Please provide a debconf menu to deactivate avahi daemon. Better would be to deactivate it by default and provide a debconf menu to activate it ;-) Thanks, tibob -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (400, 'stable'), (10, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages avahi-daemon depends on: ii adduser 3.113+nmu3 ii bind9-host [host] 1:9.8.1.dfsg.P1-4 ii dbus 1.5.12-1 ii libavahi-common3 0.6.31-1 ii libavahi-core7 0.6.31-1 ii libc6 2.13-33 ii libcap2 1:2.22-1 ii libdaemon0 0.14-2 ii libdbus-1-3 1.5.12-1 ii libexpat1 2.1.0-1 ii lsb-base 4.1+Debian6 Versions of packages avahi-daemon recommends: pn libnss-mdns <none> Versions of packages avahi-daemon suggests: pn avahi-autoipd <none> -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
