* What led up to the situation?
I: DMI machine check: running on a MacBookPro8,2
System: Linux 3.4.0 x86_64
Failed to access brightness node: No such file or directory
Failed to access brightness node: No such file or directory

E: sysfs backlight probe failed, no fallback for this machine
E: LCD backlight probe failed, check debug output
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Disabkle every backlight option (even kbd) in /etc/pommed.conf
* What was the outcome of this action?
Still fails.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
pommed starting without any backlight control and at least playing
wave files for beeps.
