Yeah, it's unfortunate but it's due to the fact that GNOME3 moved from gconf to dconf. I'm not sure if (and how) other applications are dealing with this migration because workrave isn't built with gconf anymore so it wouldn't be able to read the old settings. > This data lost should be considered as a grave bug? While I do agree that it's very annoying to have to reconfigure workrave (I've had to do it on 3 of my computers), I'm not sure losing these settings would qualify as data loss. There's nothing really critical in there and the settings are still on your computer if you reinstall the old version of workrave or just look at them using the gconf-editor.
