I figured out that uploaders is in ./debian/control, because vim highlighted it as a recognized field :)
An updated package is available at: http://justinpryzby.com/astro/code/sextractor/ pbuilder and lintian clean. You can test it with one of the .FIT files from my website, using (for example) the saods9 package (maintained by me). Thanks!
