Package: backupninja Version: 1.0-1 Severity: normal Hi,
In earlier reports we talked about backupninja not aborting if the rsync commandline was broken or wrong, i.e. backupninja reported success while the rsync helper failed. This was fixed, but maybe a bit too good? If rsync runs and for example files disappear while syncing (this happens often for backups of /), rsync generates a warning at the end, which backupninja then treats as a fatal error and aborts the process. Info: Syncing / on /media/Backup/tetraeder///daily.1/... [...] rsync warning: some files vanished before they could be transferred (code 24) at main.c(1526) [generator=3.0.7] Fatal: Rsync error when trying to transfer / It seems that as a result the "created" metadata is not written; this subsequently makes (long format) rotation fail.
